Artist, Designer, & Craftsperson Bonnie Woodford-Potter
Bonnie Woodford-Potter, has had the outdoors a daily priority for all of her life. She’s been collecting unusual beads and creating jewelry pieces for decades. In the years before beadScapejewelry finally formed as a business in 2019, she enjoyed first, a career in Printing and Graphic Arts – including her Graphic Arts & Design business. Then following an injury – she went back to school, opening her practice in NeuroMuscular Therapy, in 1994.
In 2012, Bonnie closed her practice, she and her husband moved to northeastern Vermont, and she began to indulge in creating jewelry, painting, and teaching private classes.
The inspiration for both jewelry design and painting is the landscape – the colors, textures, juxtaposition of shapes, textures, and colors. The landscape is the catalyst – thus the name: beadScapejewelry
Located in Northeastern Vermont, we are recovering from the Covid-19 global pandemic shut-downs, as are so many others. The Muse comes to us – even here. Through her varied careers, Bonnie has always ‘played’ with unusual beads, and unusual jewelry designs.
Designing a piece may happen within a few hours, to a few years. A piece may be strung and then restrung in the design process, many times before Bonnie decides the piece can be ‘closed’ with a number tag and a clasp.
Our new style is created for Bonnie’s handcrafted, one-of-one pieces in porcelain or clay. This new collection is in its earliest stages. We’ll continue to add “New Items’ as the collections expand.
We are pleased to share this work with you.
